We are now accepting proposals for Connect University 2010. We will accept proposals until February 15, 2010.

Session proposals should cover topics in which best practices in admissions, enrollment, and technology use will be shared with other EMT and Common Application clients. Showing examples of how you and your colleagues work in the EMT system is highly encouraged.

Sample topics include but are not limited to:

  • Strategic planning and management
  • Student retention activities and strategy
  • Smart recruiting in a tight economy
  • Incorporating technology into your admissions/enrollment processes
  • Communication plan creation and maximization
  • Telecounseling efforts in higher education
  • Using surveys throughout the enrollment process
  • Personalized, on-demand printing
  • Enhancing Web-based recruitment with chats, blogs, and message boards
  • Handling incoming inquiries more efficiently
  • Using predictive modeling
  • Creating and marketing an online Web community
  • Utilizing online decision and enrollment tools
  • Cross-departmental collaboration in increasing yield
  • Creating effective e-mail marketing campaigns
  • Managing online applications
